Riffat Gurdezi is an aspiring young lawyer experienced in family law, property law, criminal law, wills and estates, building and construction law and business sales and transactions.

Riffat studied a dual degree of Law and Arts (majoring in Peace & Conflict studies and International Relations) at both Queensland University of Technology and the University of Queensland. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practise at Queensland University of Technology. She was was admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2013, High Court of Australia in 2019 and Supreme Court of Victoria in 2022.

Riffat is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Muslim Legal Network and the Queensland Law Society.

She is interested in all aspects of property transactions, business sales and purchases, as well as building and construction disputes. She has a well-rounded knowledge of property law, wills and estates law, family law, criminal law, building construction law and business sales and transactions.

One of Riffat’s greatest strengths is her ability to maintain a rapport with clients, due to her ability to engage with clients on a level that is both empathetic and empowering. She has great level of sensitivity to clients and strives to go above and beyond to attain the most positive client outcomes. Her intrinsic motivation behind being a lawyer is striving to see the lives of people in the most challenging of circumstances improve for the better.

Outside of law Riffat, is a qualified English Language Instructor having competed a CELTA at St Giles College in London, and worked in the Gulf.
